A few months ago a dear friend gave me a bread recipe that is actually Vance-safe (no milk or eggs). It is an Artisan Bread recipe that you leave the dough in the fridge up to 16 days till you're ready to make it. I discovered that not only does it make delicious bread it makes great pizza too. Now that we have had Byron home on the weekends pizza has became our Sunday afternoon meal. The kids love it. I love it. It is easy to make & it takes me back to my days at Pisanello's Pizza. Of course Byron & I get to eat a traditional pizza with a salad. While Vance and Ella eat a pizza with cilantro pesto, pepperoni &/or ham cut up veggies. Well, Ella eats carrots & Vance eats cucumbers. They have their favorites and are at the stage where they don't want to try anything else. It's a great meal. I think each week I learn something to make the next week's pizzas turn out better. I believe, as long as my family doesn't get tired of it, that this will be our standard Sunday meal.
Ella, enjoying the last of their pizza. It was gone before I ever thought about taking a picture.
Thank goodness half of our pizza had been eaten. Otherwise it would be obvious that I am a little rusty at the pizza making & can never seem to get them into a perfect circle without holes. So they usually have a funky shape.
Oh wow that looks yummy. I think you need to share the dough recipe!
