I loved the fact that work was getting done but quality time with the kids was happening at the same time. To be honest that is something we have struggled with the past few weekends. It was refreshing to come to the end of the day not frustrated with an unfinished to-do list & each other.
Now I will admit as I was preparing supper & Byron was at the store the kids rooms looked like a small tornado had blown through. However, my kids did an awesome job cleaning up with no fussing. The Dora slippers that their friend gave them (& yes I say them because Vance loves Dora just as much if not more than Ella) was a great motivation to get them focused on the task at hand.

But the best part of the day was the ending. After baths & showers Vance saw that my hair was wet & wanted to dry it. The other day I let him & Ella dry my hair. They wanted to do it again & I was not going to complain. They did a great job taking turns drying and combing my hair. I loved every minute it of it. One thing I noticed is that Vance really knows how to dry hair but Ella doesn't . That's because Ella has her hair dried and Vance always watches me do it. She doesn't see me dry anyone else's hair. Amazing how much kids learn through observation.
So thankful for a great day. Looking forward to more fun with my family tomorrow.
